What does it do?
Actions turns your iPad into a control portal, allowing you to perform desktop functions with a single press of a pre-defined command. Want to open your favourite song with the press of a button without scrolling through the hundreds of albums on your PC? Not a problem. By creating shortcut links on your computer and binding shortcut keys, Actions allows you to assign a tile to that action. You don’t even have to create shortcuts for applications that you already have installed, simply use the Send To option and select the icon of what you wish to open. All of this can be achieved by installing the configuration software on your PC or Mac which has a simple and easy to follow interface to get you started. If you are looking to use this on multiple computers, simply create a different action set for each. Here are just a few of the functions that we found which could be helpful to you:

What’s the verdict?
It didn’t take long to figure out how to create shortcuts in Windows and it did seem to be quite useful. You might find yourself bombarded with tiny shortcut icons on your computer BUT you can always hide them in folders throughout the system. The only major drawback that could be identified was the fact that you can only control your computer when you are on the same Wi-Fi network, so it does not work remotely. Overall, this app is highly recommended since almost any shortcut can be achieved using different macro software and most of the features are already catered for.
