Brand new audio-only calls using Facetime on iOS 7
With the new iOS 7 update, you can now use Facetime to either video call or use the new audio-only feature. No need to keep an eye on your minutes/credit with this new feature as the Facetime audio calls use your Wi-Fi or 3G connection, however you may need to keep an eye on your data usage if you are using 3G.
It’s simple to make a Facetime audio call, as it is nearly an identical process to video call on Facetime. Here’s how you do it:
1. Go to your contacts list and locate the contact you wish to audio call.
2. Press the contact to view their details and scroll down to find ‘Facetime’ on their contact card.
3. Next to Factime you will see two icons; the video camera to video call and the phone icon to audio call.
4. Select the phone icon to make your Facetime audio call!
This is the perfect solution if you are not looking your best as you can avoid the camera but still make that phone call with minimal effort involved!
