Control your laptop as if by magic!
Here at izzyj, we have found an great application called Actions for iPad that allows you to control your laptop from your iPad – as if by magic!
Actions turns your iPad into a control portal, allowing you to perform desktop functions with a single press of a pre-defined command. Want to open your favourite song with the press of a button without scrolling through the hundreds of albums on your PC? Not a problem. By creating shortcut links on your computer and binding shortcut keys, Actions allows you to assign a tile to that action. You don’t even have to create shortcuts for applications that you already have installed, simply use the Send To option and select the icon of what you wish to open. All of this can be achieved by installing the configuration software on your PC or Mac which has a simple and easy to follow interface to get you started. If you are looking to use this on multiple computers, simply create a different action set for each. Here are just a few of the functions that we found which could be helpful to you:
- Creating shortcuts to your favourite websites such as Facebook and Youtube
- Quickly open your important documents with direct shortcut links
- Shortcut to pictures
