How to create relationships on Siri for iPhone

You may think Siri is there just to answer any trivial questions you may have however this is just a fraction of what Siri can do for you. You are able to associate relationships to specific contacts within your phone book, so that when using Siri you can use phrases such as “call my husband” or “tell my best friend to call me”.

Here is a step by step guide to creating relationships on Siri:

1. Press and hold the home button on your iPhone until Siri is activated.

2. Tell Siri which contact has a specific relationship to you, such as ‘Joe Bloggs is my boyfriend’ or as above ‘Mom is my mother’.

3. Siri will then confirm the relationships with you. Either press ‘Yes’ or say ‘Yes’ after the beep!

4. This will then save your relationship to that contact. Now you can test it out by holding down the home button to activate Siri and say ‘Call Mom’. Fingers crossed Siri will be able to call the right person!

Please note, it is quite difficult to delete relationships on Siri once you have made them so stick to the relationships that you don’t see changing any time soon!
