What does it do?

i3D is an overview of a new technology known as Head-Coupled Perspective (HCP). HCP uses the front camera on your device to track your face in real time and input the results into its clever mechanics. The results that are input into the app define how the app behaves and tells the app your movements. The results of this are shown in a 3D scene which adjusts itself to how you are looking at the iDevice. This is one of the first apps of its type to use human interactive tracking to show an output using pictures and clever pattern displays. This app does not use the tilting motions to define how the input is displayed, it is tracked purely on your personal movements. i3D was developed at the Engineering Human-Computer interaction Research Group of Grenoble Informatics Laboratory and could potentially change the whole app design future.

What’s the verdict?

This genius app really gives a different perspective on where the future of applications and application designs could be heading. Although the functions are limited, the concept behind the application is actually really clever which we recommend you try. The interface is basic and simple but the functionality behind the interface could paint thousands of words. This is definitely something you should look out for in future apps as this will bring a completely different light to games and user interaction.
