What does it do?

M8 is your local mate to help you explore, navigate and connect with people and places around you. Find the places, shops, restaurants and venues that you need directly from the app, M8 will locate the nearest one to you and even guide you there. Once you have chosen a destination, M8 will act as a sat nav to guide you straight to your desired location on the quickest route. The app can also be used simply as a sat nav, with amazing graphics M8 can guide you to where you want to go using a place name or postcode. With TripAdvisor, Yelp and Lonely Planet access, M8 will show you the best places to visit based on previous reviews and with full social integration you can share your location and see where your friends are! When using the navigation, M8 provides speed camera alerts, live traffic updates, turn by turn navigation with automatic rerouting if needed.

What’s the verdict?

M8 really is great! The graphics are really what makes this app stand out, its clear and concise and provides you with a completely free sat nav! Its handy if you are in a place you are not familiar with as you can search for any brand of shop, restaurant or venue that you wish to visit and M8 will show you where your nearest one is – and how to get there! It’s simple to use and you can even store your favourite places for easy and quick access. The integration with valued sites such as TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet make sure that each place you visit is certified and recommended by a trusted source. We managed to grab an interview with the guys from Telmap at Apps World recently – keep your eyes peeled on the izzyj Youtube Channel as this is coming soon!
