With the increase in store prices and the number of online deals multiplying by the minute, it is important to be smart while shopping. Stores around Europe are now offering in store comparisons on many of your favourite products such as food, clothing and electronics. At IzzyJ we feel that it is important to keep with the times by using applications on our mobile devices to find the best and latest offers for all of the biggest brands. Here are some useful applications to help you save money, from QR code scanning for in-store discounts to online price comparison for groceries:
Qrafter
Creating and scanning barcodes has never been easier, using this clever advanced tool from Qrafter. QR codes are everywhere we look and you can’t always scan them in time and with accuracy and speed. The high quality picture capture that this boasts far exceeds many of the other capture methods and all of your scans are saved to a History tab allowing you to view whatever you have saved at a later date. Within the settings, Scan and Go can be enabled which allows you to browse quickly and efficiently through websites using the QR code method as well. Qrafter also allows you to create QR codes, which not many of the other available apps will let you do. Some of the functions that are supported are: URL, Location, Contact Card and Events. Some of the more advanced features include Tweets, phone calls and even connecting to Wi-Fi networks.
Barcoo
If you are shopping about, why settle for second best? Let Barcoo compare prices and values for you! With a clever built in barcode scanner, you have the ability to scan items in a shop and find out price comparison with people and shops around you. Worried about the calories in the product you are looking for? Nutritional values are displayed in a traffic light system with accurate figures to show what’s good and what’s not. If you have found the same item cheaper at your local shop simply add the price to the database and add comments and locations for everyone to use. Post your finds via. email to all of your contacts, or simply post it to Facebook for everybody to see. Make sure to check the reviews and never get caught out on overpriced items again!
Skinflint
Skinflint is an independant price comparison application for IT hardware, consumer electronics, home & garden, sports & leisure and health & beauty. The application allows you to compare prices on the go and even scan a barcode to locate the product you are looking for. The app will then locate the nearest place to purchase this product and display the varying prices, allowing you to find the cheapest price. Search for products by product name or alternatively scan the barcode directly into the Skinflint app! The app also displays reviews and customer opinions of products and all price include delivery cost also so the price you see will be the price you pay! Skinflint can sort the results in order of price, product rating or number of offers and the app is fully integrated with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter so that you can share your favourite products with friends.
