What does it do?

Tuner is a tuning app designed to work with a large variety of instruments, including woodwind, brass and bowed string instruments. Built into the app is a pitch detection algorithm which can detect a pitch ranging from A0 to A8 with accuracy that cannot be matched by many other apps. This makes the app a perfect partner for bass, cello and guitar as well as violin and trumpet players. The interface on the app is friendly and beautiful to look at. It also supports one tap calibration which is ideal for those that are not overly confident with digital tuners. Both solfege and scientific notations are supported within the app as well. Its clean, fast and reliable functions are almost guaranteed to give the same reliability as a hardware tuner for half the price.

What’s the verdict?

There are a lot of different instrument tuners on the app store for a multitude of different types of music genre’s. We can convincingly say that this does indeed out-tune the majority. The interface is crystal clear and the buttons can be used by anybody  with a basic music knowledge. Instructions are given in the menu’s to make tuning easier than ever and you are given the option to change the frequency, transposition, notation and more calibration settings. IzzyJ approves of the quality of this music tuner and it is a great deal for the price.
