Under the spotlight…

The spotlight search tool on iPhone/iPad is used to search every aspect of your device for apps, contacts, games, music, notes and the list goes on. This is a very handy tool for those who hold lots of applications and data on their device as it gives them quick and easy access to what they need when they need it.

You can also select which areas you would like enabled for the Spotlight Search for example, if you do not wish for apps to appear in the search results you can disable these and keep all other areas enabled and such like.
